Down syndrome in NSW

A couple of mild mannered parents from the suburbs of Sydney who had their world changed one fine day in January 2017 when their son was born and diagnosed with Down syndrome.

This is the story of our text book pregnancy with low chance screening results and having our perception of the perfect family unit turned on it's head.

Join us as we share our lighthearted, and in some cases heavyhearted experiences, challenge and successes of raising a child with Down syndrome throughout the course Emmy's brother Leo's life.

Since day one Leo brought so much to our lives. It started as shock, moved to acceptance, morphed into openness and then closely shifted to advocacy and tolerance of children and adults with Down syndrome.

Throughout this, what we would describe as our greatest learning and development program as people and parents, we have maintained our focus on the prize at all times, Emmy's brother Leo.
